Chair Massage
Also known as seated
massage, chair massage is done in a specialized
massage “chair,” rather than the usual table
used for massage. A massage chair is more easily
transported, takes up less room than a table,
and allows clients to remain clothed while
focusing the massage on the upper body.
Remaining clothed helps many inexperienced
clients to fully relax and learn to enjoy
massage and its benefits.
Chair massage is is
increasingly popular as part of workplace
wellness programs in corporate settings, whether
as part of an ongoing premise or a special
occasion. Massage is helpful in relieving stress
and addressing repetitive strain injuries that
have become more common in our computerized
society. It has also been shown to be effective
in improving alertness and immune system
functions, all of which help increase
productivity in the workplace.
