Booking Appointments
To make an appointment for a session, please
call or text 970.819.1074. You can also contact
me via email at heartfiremassage@gmail.com. I
will do my best to return calls and emails
within 24 hours unless I am traveling. For
same-day sessions, please call or text to ensure
that we connect in a timely fashion. Arrival
Times
My time is valuable. So is yours. Please be
courteous and arrive on time. Late arrivals may
result in shortened time on the table, but it is
the client's responsibility to pay for the full
session. If you are unavoidably detained for
some reason, please call my cell at
970.819.1074. Referral Policy
The best compliment you can give me is a
referral. I'd like to return the favor. For
every five clients you send me, you'll receive a
gift certificate good for an hour. Keep it for
yourself or feel free to pass it on to someone
else in need. Cancellations, Rescheduling,
and No-Shows
If an appointment is canceled within 24 hours
of the scheduled appointment time, the client is
liable for the full price of the appointment.
If an appointment is rescheduled within 24 hours
of the scheduled appointment time, you must
reschedule within a two week period and a 50%
appointment fee will be charged. If your
subsequently rescheduled appointment is later
canceled, you will owe the entire amount for the
appointment.
If you are more than 20 minutes late without
calling, clients will be considered a no-show,
and also responsible for the full appointment
fee. If you are running late, please call or
text me at 970.819.1074. Passing it On: The
Blessings Box
50% of the income from no-shows, late
cancellations, and rescheduled appointments will
go into a “blessings box.” Once the price of a
full session has been reached, I will donate a
gift certificate either to a local charity or a
loyal customer to pass on at their discretion.
Clients may donate directly to the blessings box
at any time. Illness
If you feel as if you are coming down with
something and need to reschedule an appointment,
please contact me as soon as possible (yes, a
text message in the middle of the night is
acceptable). I make my living via a healthy body
and have no desire to pick up something from a
client—nor to pass it on to others. In addition,
receiving bodywork when one's immune system is
stressed can exacerbate an illness due to
increased circulation and lymphatic drainage. So
please, if you're at all contagious, stay home.
Right of Refusal
I believe that both therapist and client
retain the right of refusal.
On rare occasions, therapists and clients just
don't “click” well with each other, for a
variety of reasons. If this happens on either
end, either the therapist or client may end the
the session at no charge if it is within the
first 15 minutes of a session. If more than 15
minutes have passed, the client will owe for
whatever amount of the session has occurred, but
there will be no further charges.
Professionalism
Heartfire Massage offers strictly therapeutic
and relaxing massage. Sexual innuendos or
requests (either verbal or nonverbal) from
clients will not be tolerated. Upon such
occasion, we reserves the right to end the
session early, and the client will owe for the
entire amount of the scheduled appointment. So
just don't do it, okay? And yes, we've heard all
the jokes. Scope of Practice
Heartfire Massage performs manipulation of
soft tissue to enhance or restore the general
health and well-being of the recipient. Benefits
may include: enhanced relaxation, reduction of
pain caused by muscle tension, increased range
of motion, improved circulation, a positive
experience of touch, and overall improved
feelings of health and vitality. Techniques may
also encompass the use of active and passive
stretching within normal limits, hydrotherapy,
geothermal massage, salt or herbal preparations,
hot or cold packs, and showers.
Heartfire Massage does not diagnose or treat
illness or disease, prescribe medications, or
perform spinal manipulations.
Payment Methods
Currently, Heartfire Massage accepts payment
by cash and check, due upon completion of
service. Credit cards may be accepted via
PayPal. A credit card number may be taken in
order to secure the appointment but will only be
run in the event of a late cancellation, late
reschedule, or no-show client. There is a $30
NSF fee charged on all returned checks.
Commitments to My Clients
I shall endeavor to serve the best interests
of my clients at all times and to provide the
highest quality service possible. I shall give
you the best of my focus and care, will respect
your concerns at all time, and do what I can to
alleviate your pain, tension, and stress. This
is your time.
I respect all clients regardless of age, race,
gender, national origin, sexual orientation,
religion, socio-economic status, body type,
political affiliation, or state of health. We
are all someone's son or daughter; we are all
deserving of love and respect.
I use an unscented cream and do not wear any
perfumes out of respect to my clients with
allergies or sensitivities. The massage cream I
use does not contain any nut oils and is
cruelty-free.
If I need to cancel an appointment, I will do so
with more than 24 hours' notice if at all
possible. If an emergency arises on the same day
and I cannot keep an appointment, I will apply a
50% discount to your next session.
I also pride myself on my commitment to the
environment. I recycle or compost whenever
possible, including office papers, water
bottles, and lotion containers. I prefer to use
glass where I can instead of paper cups. I
usually buy second-hand linens and repurpose
them into handmade rag rugs when worn out. Floor
sheets for body scrubs are slightly worn linens
from hotels and resorts that no longer meet
their exacting standards and would otherwise be
thrown out. Linens are cleaned in a
high-efficiency washer with biodegradable soap
and line-dried. I use high-efficiency light
bulbs and local products when those options are
available to me. Disclaimer
