As many of you know, I was voted Best Massage Therapist in 2011's "Best of the Boat." At that time, business names of several therapists were listed; I was a dark horse write-in, and came from nowhere to take the contest.
Last year--still as a write-in--I came in runner-up (THANK YOU to everyone who voted for me!). The 2012 dark horse was a woman who was a former marketing executive, owns three spas, and worked as a cashier at Ace last fall.
Don't get me wrong: I have nothing against making an honest wage for an honest day's work, especially in tough economic times.
I just think that if you're the best massage therapist in Steamboat . . . well, shouldn't you be making your living as such?
Ready, set, VOTE!
Obviously, this is where you guys come in. They've done away with the listing for massage therapists, so it's all write-in.
STEP TWO: For question #82, answer
Erica Olson - Heartfire Massage
STEP THREE: Submit the darn thing.
They changed the voting days on me this year, so January 18th is the last day to vote! Thank you to everyone who has voted for me already. Feel free to pass this email on!
Some other suggestions, if I may be so bold?
Question #9 is for Best Caterer. Greg, my Best Beloved, owns Fireside Catering. I think you know what I'm hinting at.

Question #95 is for Best Spa. Although it's not listed, the spa co-op I'm involved in is Steamboat Independent Spa. It would be really spiffy if we could get in the top three, especially as a write-in. You know what to do.
