Deep Thoughts

Picture
Philosophy
I don’t fix people.  I can’t heal anyone, or “make” them better.  It’s not up to me.  Massage is a partnership, and the best I can do is make suggestions to the body; all I do is open a door.  It’s up to my client’s body whether or not it will respond.

However, I’m damn good at what I do, and I love doing it.  The human body fascinates me and I enjoy learning as much as I can about it.  I delight in sharing that knowledge:  education and involvement are key in the road to healing.

Commitment to my clients
I endeavor to serve the best interests of my clients at all times and to provide the highest quality service possible.  I shall give you the best of my focus and care, will respect your concerns at all time, and do what I can to alleviate your pain, tension, and stress.  This is your time.

I respect all clients regardless of age, race, gender, national origin, sexual or gender orientation, religion, socio-economic status, body type, political affiliation, or state of health.  We are all someone's son or daughter; we are all deserving of love and respect.

I use an unscented cream and do not wear any perfumes out of respect to my clients with allergies or sensitivities.  The massage cream I use does not contain any nut oils and is cruelty-free.

Along with my clients, I am also committed to the environment.  I recycle or compost whenever possible, including office papers, water bottles, and lotion containers; I prefer to use glass where I can instead of paper cups.  My linens are gently-worn second-hand or fast-drying microfiber and are repurposed into handmade rag rugs when worn out.  I wash my sheets in a high-efficiency washer with biodegradable soap and line-dry them.  I use high-efficiency light bulbs and local products when those options are available to me.
