Sophia
Senior Therapist

Sophia, originally from Northeast Ohio, has always had a knack for the Art of Touch growing up as she strode through numerous orthopedic surgeries and years of physical therapy. In high school, Sophia had the pleasure of attending college courses with a Fine Arts degree in mind, but in a Human Figure drawing class found her love for anatomy and physiology. After graduation, Sophia enrolled in the 2 year Massage Therapy program at Stark State College of Technology in Canton, Ohio. With vigorous training in and out of the classroom, Sophia graduated in November of 2007, and became licensed by the State of Ohio in January of 2008.
A few months into her first year of practice, Sophia was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Due to this prognosis and career choice, she changed gears into a more medical and botancial study with Naturopathic Medicine as an end goal in mind, but has always continued to practice Massage Therapy and Reiki practices. At Ohio University, Sophia continued her education and achieved a Bachelor's of Specialized Studies in the Human Biology, Plant Biology and Chemistry in May of 2012.

Upon graduation Sophia continued her Massage Therapy practice, this time, leaning more towards the therapeutic aspect in the Art of Touch and Healing. In May of 2013 Sophia felt the call of the West, back to an old place in her heart, the beloved Yampa Valley. With quick moves, Sophia moved across the country with two cats, a dog, and a loaded Chevy Aveo to the valley in June, where she still resides with her two dogs and partner; She became licensed in the State of Colorado December of 2013.
Since living here Sophia has enjoyed helping others in her own practice and the welcoming community of likeminded Healers and Bodyworkers that have enriched her skills and experiences here in Routt county.

In her free time you can always find Sophia with a hula hoop in her hand. Whether it's on a nature hike, Burning Man (where she gets to share her passion of fire dance in front of 70,000 spectators), park, community event (you may recognize her from the Halloween Stroll, Winter Carnival, and various in-Boat performances), dance studios or in her own yard, she is always hooping!
Sophia is also an avid gardener, plant nerd, painter and dancer.
